'tsundoku' by FUCCI | S16 Old Montreal

Artist : Fucci

Exhibition : July 21st - August 13th 2023

S16 Gallery - 377 Saint-Paul West, Montreal

The term "tsundoku" is a Japanese slang term that refers to the habit of acquiring books but letting them pile up without reading them. It combines two words: "tsunde" (meaning "to stack things") and "doku" (meaning "to read"). This term is often used to describe someone who collects books but doesn't find the time or motivation to actually read them. It implies a sense of accumulating things for their own aesthetic sake, rather than for the purpose of any real gain.

This will be the first solo show by Fucci at S16 Gallery, and will include new paintings, drawings, prints and merchandise.
