Eduardo Kobra

Eduardo Kobra

Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra utilizes bright colours and bold lines while staying true to a kaleidoscope theme throughout his art. The technique of repeating squares and triangles allows him to bring to life the individuals he depicts in his murals. This checkered pattern, filled with different textures, lines, and shading, builds up to Eduardo Kobra’s final masterpiece, a larger than life mural for all to see and marvel at.

In 2016 Eduardo Kobra made the headlines for creating his illustrious mural ‘Las Etnias’ (The Ethnicities) that lined Olympic Boulevard at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Stretching over 32,000 square feet, ‘Las Etnias‘ earned Kobra and his team the world record for the largest spray paint mural created by a team. A year later, Kobra and his group beat their previous title with their gigantic work at Cacua Show Headquarters, a chocolate company located in Sao Paulo, Brazil – a masterpiece which took 700 hours to complete and more than doubled their 2016 record.

Since then, he has painted in countries such as Spain, Italy, Norway, England, Malawi, India, Japan, United Arab Emirates, as well as numerous cities across North America.
